Meet The Team

GARRETT TROFF

Owner

Garrett was born and raised here in Houston Texas. As long as Garrett can remember he has enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together.  As a kid Garrett’s hobbies were soccer, little league baseball, swimming and boating. Garrett was also very involved in Boy Scouts where he achieved the Rank of Eagle Scout.

While Garrett attended Bellaire High School, he excelled in Auto Repair Shop classes. It was these classes that would shape the rest of Garrett’s life. Garrett decided he was interested in pursuing Automotive Technology as a career. Garrett understood the importance of education so Garrett chose to attend Wyoming Technical Institute where he could earn his Associates Degree.

After graduating from Wyoming Technical Institute, Garrett took a job with BMW in Houston. Within a year BMW sent Garrett to BMW STEP program, a 6 month training program, to become BMW Master Technician. Garrett earned the Certification of ASE Master Technician at the age of 20.

Garrett eventually left BMW and began working with two partners. After Two years the partnership started to come apart and Garrett went out on his own to provide better service to his customers. In March 2013 Garrett started Chimney Rock Car Care, LLC. Garrett’s focus has been outstanding customer service since the beginning.

In 2015 Garrett married Erin Troff. Garrett and Erin have a daughter Robyn Troff and a son Fritz Troff.

ERIN TROFF

Owner

Erin was born and raised in Houston, Texas. When she was little, you would always find her in her dad’s machine shop. He taught her the names and uses for all his hand tools, and she was his little helper. If he was working on his 1995 Ford F-150, you would find her right there with him.

While in high school, Erin began working as a pre-school teacher. She has always had a passion for working with kids. After 8.5 years in the Early Childhood field it was time for a change. In June of 2013, Erin joined Garrett as a part time service advisor and permanently joined in August of 2013 after the end of the school year.

Since then, Erin has moved up to become the Office Manager. She is still at the shop daily helping in everyday office tasks.

In June of 2015, Erin and Garrett were married. They welcomed a daughter, Robyn, into their lives in October of 2016, and son, Fritz, in May of 2018. Many of you have seen these two crazy kiddos run around the shop. You may also see that very same 1995 Ford F-150 that Erin worked on as a little girl around the shop too.

JUAN TORRES

Service Manager

Juan was born in Brownsville, TX. At the tender age of 3, his parents decided to move to Houston in hopes of a better future and they have lived here since then. Juan enjoys playing soccer and watching any soccer game on TV. He was also very involved in his high school soccer team even after he graduated.

After graduating from Hightower High School in 2009, Juan was unsure of what he wanted to pursue as a career. He decided to give the restaurant business a try. He worked himself from dishwasher all the way up to certified line cook. After 6 years, Juan decided that the restaurants weren’t really for him. In 2015, Juan then began working at a local Ford dealership as valet and worked nights/weekends at Advance Auto Parts as a Commercial Manager.

After learning a lot about vehicles while working both jobs, he decided to take it a step further and applied as a Service Advisor at Chimney Rock Car Care. He has been here since 2018. Juan is fluent in both English and Spanish. He also has three ASE certifications and is striving to achieve more.

Juan is happily married to Sinahi Torres. They’ve been together since 2011 and got married in 2018.

Jose was born in Mexico, in a small town near Guanajuato and Queretaro. At the age of 4 his family decided to come to the US in search of a better way of living.
